One request is one call, whatever the endpoint returns. There are no credits that cost different amounts per endpoint, and no endpoint that needs a paid plan. Per 1,000 calls the paid tiers work out to $1.00 on Builder, $0.60 on Launch, $0.33 on Scale.
What 500 calls a month is enough for
- Building and testing. A natal chart, a dasha tree, a match report and a panchanga are four calls; a full integration test suite rarely needs more than a few dozen a day.
- An AI assistant. Connect the MCP server to Claude or Cursor; each tool call counts as one API call against the same quota.
- A personal or low-traffic app. Roughly sixteen charts a day, every day.
- Checking the numbers before you commit. The reference chart and the JPL Horizons check can both be re-run on the free tier.
